Elaine Rose, M.S.

Mrs. Rose has been the Director of the Rose Speech and Academic Center for 30 years and is the Head of School for Rose Academy. She has 15 years as an in-service instructor for Florida State University, teaching new and current teachers throughout the State of Florida. She spent two years working as the Academic Specialist for the Multidisciplinary Team and three years as assistant director of the Reading Clinic at Florida State University. One year was spent as a reading specialist in Leon County for grades 3,4, and 5. She taught first grade for three years in Cairo, Georgia. She earned a Masters Degree in Reading and her Undergraduate Degree in Elementary Education from Florida State University. (Certificate # 514572)


John Rose, M.S.

Mr. Rose is a Speech/Language Pathologist and Head of Discipline. His Masters is in Speech Pathology from Florida State University. He spent three years as a Speech Pathologist with public schools. He has been in private practice since 1977. Mr. Rose has delivered multiple workshops on pragmatic language development and auditory processing. He has presented to Florida Language Speech & Hearing Association.


Rebecca Folsom, M.S.

Mrs. Folsom is the Head of the Upper School. She has been with Rose more than twenty-five years. She has a Masters in Educational Leadership from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Science in English grades 6th-12th. (Certificate #719326). Mrs. Folsom has extensive experience as an academic coach and FLVS Facilitator, and she was named one of the FLVS Facilitators of the Year in 2014.


Keri DiBuono, B.S.

Ms. DiBuono is the Head of the Lower School. She has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Tampa. She has taught at Rose for twenty years. Ms. DiBuono has extensive training as a remediation specialist. She has designed and presented a variety workshops to school personnel and parents throughout Leon County.


Sharon Copeland

Ms. Copeland is the Administrative Assistant and the glue that keeps everyone at their best! She has been with Rose for eighteen years.


Sue Rowland, B.S.

Mrs. Rowland has been our Rose Science Teacher for seven years. She has a degree in psychology with a minor in chemistry. She has taken graduate courses in Anatomy and Physiology, Comparing Anatomy, and Physiology and the Chemistry of Carbohydrates. At Holy Comforter she taught middle school Biology, Algebra 1, sixth grade science, and Honors Physical Science. She has a passion for teaching the Scientific Method and motivating students to pursue careers in Science. She is a certified nurse.


Laura Ashley Hanlon, B.S.

Mrs. Laura has taught Physical Education at Rose Academy for five years. She taught Physical Education at Oak Ridge Elementary for two years and Holy Comforter Episcopal School for four years. She has a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Auburn University, and Biblical Ministry and Leadership training from the KanaKuk Institute. (Certificate# 920343).
