First days are always exciting at Rose Academy! Students get to find and decorate their lockers or desks, get their finalized schedules, and catch up with teachers and friends! So many smiles throughout the day from both teachers and students!

We are halfway through our Summer sessions and it has been a blast! On Fridays, Mr. Rose does a STEAM activity with our students. So far he has made rubber guns, spinning tops, and airplane launchers.

Big reveal of our new basketball court!!! First students got to break it in. Of course, two basketballs got stuck behind the backboard. 😅

Friendly reminder that Rose Academy is hosting our first fundraiser for parents and students to donate their old shoes. We are very excited for this wonderful opportunity!

Yes, you read that right!!!

Rose Academy is collecting ACTIVE shoes for FUNDRAISING.

This is an incredible program that helps EVERYONE three fold.
1. Gets old shoes out of your house.
2. Keeps old shoes out of landfills.
3. Raises $$$ for our incredible school.

All you need to do is bag up the ACTIVE shoes your family has finished enjoying, we will have a donation box in the lobby of our school. ACTIVE shoes include; sneakers, tennis shoes, boots, cleats, high-tops, etc…

Big shout out to one of our Rose Academy moms, Jeri Richardson, the QUEEN of stress free fundraising and community building activities. She has worked out several ways to raise funds for our new basketball area.

Congratulations to our graduating class of 2026! We could not be more proud of you all and your accomplishments! It has been a wonderful journey that we have taken together and all of us teachers and students are proud of you five!

Another Night of Celebration has come and gone. Despite the rain, everyone had a great time! Lots of artwork displayed, delicious snacks, and many awards given to our hard-working and dedicated students.

It has been an amazing year, looking forward to another one! 🥳

Last week of school fun! Our youngest finance students had their booths; it was a first for some of them. It was a blast!

On the last day of school, Rose Academy rounded out the year with a water day and yearbook signing!

This week has been full of fun! We've had a brunch and a silent auction for our upper finance class. Ms. Sue always serves the best food and finds the hot ticket items.

One of our high school students completed his first crochet project after two years and many restarts (called frogging in the crochet world).

Then, of course, how could we not end our week with musical practice for Night of Celebration and rockets?

Senior Spotlight: Evan Rye

"If you only do what you can do, you will never be more than you are now." -Master Shifu

Evan has been attending Rose Academy for 12 years. His favorite memory with Rose is going on the Washington, DC and Key West field trips.

His greatest accomplishment so far is being able to keep a job and graduating.

He dreams to have financial freedom to be able to be a landlord, have his dream truck, own his own house and some land.

His advice to future seniors is "don't skip school and duel enroll."

It has been an incredible 12 years. We have had the opportunity to watch Evan grow from a young boy to a young man and we look forward seeing where life takes him next. 🎉

Senior Spotlight: Aidan Mathews

Aidan has attended Rose Academy for four years. His favorite memory with Rose is presenting in Spanish 1 where he got to impersonate Batman and introduce himself as such.

His dream is to be able to retire and his advice to future seniors is: "Make sure to submit your work on time."

It has been an adventure working with Aidan over these four years and wherever he goes, he's sure to bring joy. It has been a wonderful adventure and we cant wait to hear about your future adventures.

Noah has been part of Rose Academy for 8 years. His favorite memories at Rose are going to Pine Mountain and making trebuchets.

His greatest accomplishment is getting a job and going to college. His dream is to have enough money to support his family and give them the world.

His advice to future seniors: "Don't miss school days."

Joshua has attended Rose Academy for 5 years and his favorite memory at Rose is going on the Washington, DC field trip.

His greatest accomplishment is getting to compete in the Florida Regional competitive gymnastics.

His dream is to own a house with lost of land with a barn where he can work on personal projects (boats, ATV, and cars) as well as having a loving family.

His advice to future seniors: "do assignments as soon as you get them; it will save you time and you won't have to worry. (I am a top tier procrastinator)."

It has been wonderful to be part of Joshua's journey and we can't wait to see where he goes!

Senior Spotlight: Cade Trotman

Cade has atteded Rose Academy for 7 years. His favorite memory with Rose is swimming in the Florida Keys on a field trip.

His greatest accomplishment is being able to spend lot of time with his family.

His dream is to be financially independent and free to own lots of land, boats, and vehicles. He would like to build a huge shop that is fully equipped with tools and vehicle lifts.

His advice to future seniors: Dual enroll at Lively or TSC.

Cade has been a dual-enrolled Lively student for two years in the HVAC program.

We are honored to have watched Cade grow from an inquisitive boy to a wonderful young man. We are incredibly proud and Cade and his accomplishments. We have enjoyed being part of his journey and we are excited to see him enter the next chapter of his life!

Some D.C. fun: they got to "beat the bomb", Ice Skate, visit Ford's Theatre and see lots of memorials.

More Washington, D.C. fun! Wednesday consisted of 9.5 miles of walking, some of which was in snow. They also visited the National Archieves, seeing Declaration of Independence, our Constitution and our Bill of Rights. They also got to take a tour of the Capitol. 😃

This week our students are learning about Lunar New Year! We began with math class then learned the history as well as the story about Chinese New Year. We followed those up with making dumplings (and eating them with rice) and Chinese art.

The dumplings (and chopsticks skills) were impressive!

Tomorrow, more festivities will be had. 😄

Our student have been eagerly been waiting for this trip! After delays and missed connections, our Washington, D.C. crew landed safely and happily. Despite getting to the hotel after midnight, they have had a busy but educational time so far. 😁 Stay tuned for more D.C. adventures.

Our upper school students had an amazing field trip to the Gulf Specimen Marine Lab yesterday! They got to spend the day dissecting a shark, seeing a dolphin show (where some of them might have sat in the splash zone 😆), visiting some penguins, and having some social time along the beach.

"That was the best field trip ever!" Said one of our 11th graders who has attended many of our Rose Academy field trips, including Washington, D.C., Pine Mountian, and visiting the USS Alabama to name a few of the big ones.

Definitely a field trip to remember! 😄

What better way to end 2025 than with our annual Christmas Ornament exchange? This year's ornaments were top-notch. Some of the top ornaments were a pink rubber chicken dressed like Santa, a gingerbread house that lights up, and one that got the hardest laugh - an ornament with the student's face on it. 😂

No ornaments were broken in duration of this event...well one ornament was broken. And that's a record! 😄

Finance Christmas Booths were a success! All students got to visit and buy goods such as candy ornaments, cookies, hot chocolate, ice cream sandwiches, slap bracelets as well as making snow or getting a mystery bag of goodies. So much joy and many smiles all around. 😁

It's that time again! Our annual Fall Festival has come and gone. This year, we had so much fun between tattoos, cotton candy, a dunk tank, a scavenger hunt, and much more. The choices were limitless! It's always a blast for all! 😁

First day of school was a success! It was great seeing all our students return as well as a few new ones. All smiles today, especially when Kona Ice came to end the day. Could not ask for anything more from these hardworking students!

Recent High School Achievements

2023-2024

Four Rose Academy High School students graduated 12th grade with one whole year of college completed. On top of getting a year of college under their belt, they all received straight A's in their Tallahassee State College classes.

2024-2025

In 2022, a Rose Academy student transferred to Leon High School where she built on her knowledge and skills accumulated over the years and graduated 7th in her class. She also signed a volleyball scholarship with Perdue, a D-1 university.

Four 11th graders took their 11th grade state required courses and completed their first two semesters at Lively Technical College with high grades. These students have graduated Rose Academy with all high school credits and four semesters of Lively completed.

Five Rose Academy students in 8th, 9th, and 10th grade took the Algebra 1 EOC and all passed!

2025-2026

Four Rose Academy students in 8th, 9th, and 10th grade took their Algebra 1 EOC and all received a passing score!

Three students graduated with certifications in their respective programs through Lively Technical and one student was offered a full-time position prior to graduation.

Atlethics

Several students have competed in various sports at the JV and Varsity level for their zoned high school while attending Rose Academy. These sports include gymnastics, track, volleyball, soccer, and basketball.
